Sightseeing tour - Pienza and Montepulciano

Leaving from your accomodation in Siena with an english speaking driver, you will visit Montepulciano, famous for its renaissance architecture. The driver will drop you off in the main square (Piazza Grande), where you can visit all the main monuments (Duomo, Palazzo Pubblico, very similar to Palazzo Vecchio in Florence and other renaissance buildings). It will be an amazing experience to have a walk in the old streets of Montepulciano. Later the driver will pick you up to go on with the tour. Next stop will be Pienza, one of the most famous and beautiful hill top town of the entire Tuscany. This village became a jewel under the reign of the Piccolomini family (in the Renaissance period). Enea Silvio Piccolomini, elected Pope in 1458, built the main square Piazza Pio II and all the magnificent buildings of the town center (Palazzo del Comune, Palazzo Vescovile, Palazzo Piccolomini and the Duomo). San Gimignano is famous in the world for his high towers and it is said to be the Manhattan of the Middleage. Another good reason to visit the place is the famous white wine called Vernaccia, easily tasted everywhere inside the town. Sightseeing tour - Pisa and Lucca

Leaving from your accomodation in Siena with an english speaking driver, you will visit the beautiful centre of Pisa, famous for its leaning tower and its main square Piazza dei Miracoli, where you also can see the Baptistery and the Duomo (the main church of the city). Following on with the tour you will reach Lucca, another incredible example of medieval art and architecture, with its big main square, the Duomo (of the 13th century) and the quiet atmosphere you can feel in the narrow streets surrounding the centre. Not far from here is the roman amphitheatre (today Piazza del Mercato).

Sightseeing tour - Assisi and Cortona

Assisi is world famous for its saint, S. Francesco but unfortunately, as you can’t see him to ask for a miracle, you have to be content with the magnificent and beautiful monuments built in his memory. It will be amazing to visit the Basilica (built in the XIII century) with his frescos (from the famous painter Giotto) and to take a walk in the surrounding squares. Later, you will walk through the streets (always full of tourists and pilgrims) and you will reach the central square, Piazza del Comune. Here, just looking at the buildings, like Palazzo dei Priori and Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, you will enjoy the medieval heart of Assisi. Not far from here, you can visit the Duomo and the Church of Santa Chiara (together with San Francesco considered the most important person in the history of italian christianity). Leaving Assisi, it is possible (if you will not be already bored of churches) to have a stop at Santa Maria degli Angeli, another big Basilica dedicated to S. Fancesco. Palazzo del Comune, Cortona. In the second part of the tour, you will visit Cortona (one of the most beautiful hill top town in Tuscany). Walking in the main street, crossing the center, you will reach Piazza della Repubblica.
