Nobile di Montepulciano - Wine Tour

Leaving from your accomodation, our first stop will be the Avignonesi winery. Less popular than the Chianti and of his brother the Brunello,the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is every year more appreciated in Italy and in the rest of Europe. Amongst the producers of this noble (nobile) wine certainly Avignonesi represent the excellence. A big production of red wines(Nobile,Rosso,Merlot),white wines(Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc)and dessert wines(Vin Santo) that are at the top level in their categories. After a short visit of the wine cellar (with an english guided tour) you will taste the authentic flavour of tuscan wine. Later, the restaurant of the winery will open the doors for who wants to go on with the tasting but sitting on a table eating something special...

After a relaxing driving surrounded by vineyards and beautiful hills,the second stop will be in the city of Montepulciano. We will visit this jewel of history and renaissance architecture, Piazza Grande (the main square)and all the main monuments (Duomo, Palazzo Pubblico, very similar to Palazzo Vecchio in Florence). Later the tour will end with a second wine tasting. The name Poliziano is well known to everyone who loves red wines in Italy. This winery will give you another taste of pure Sangiovese (red grapes used for the production of Vino Nobile).
