Chianti - Wine Tour

Leaving from your accomodation our first stop will be the Monteriggioni castle. Built in the XIII century, it’s a spectacular example of a medieval village with its walls surrounding the buildings and the 14 guard towers. Leaving the valley we will start to climb in the direction of Castellina in Chianti and we will reach the doors of one of the best and most famous world wine production area: the Chianti Classico. Here, between olive groves, little woods and farm houses, miles and miles of vineyards create an amazing landscape and form the main source of wealth for this land. Placed between Siena and Florence, Chianti is an hilly area with proper borders and only here is it possible to produce and sell the Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Amongst the many producers of this wine, one of  the most famous for its productions is Rocca delle Macie. Here we will stop for our first wine tasting with an english guided tour. We will continue driving in the direction of Radda in Chianti (always surrounded by an incredible nature) where we will stop to have a visit of the town center.

Here too, the Middleage left its impressions as you will be able to see, looking at the walls and at the fortress that embrace the buildings. At 10 km from Radda, we will find Gaiole in Chianti (still in province of Siena) and it is here, on a hill that overlooks the village of Gaiole, that we will go for the second wine tasting. The Capannelle estate will receive us to give you an unforgettable experience. It’s difficult to judge wines that are at the top of the best enological magazines. Starting from Chianti Classico on through to the Rosso I.G.T Capannelle (simply extraordinary), the winery also produces international wines (usually not included in the wine tasting) like Solare and 50&50 that only the best restaurants in the world have on their wine carte. What can I say…something to try out!
