Chianti - Wine Tour

For everyone who is interested in a different point of view about Tuscany we are glad to suggest our brand new tour ”Hidden Tuscany”. Starting from Siena driving through the beautiful hills of Ville di Corsano and Casciano di Murlo (two nice hill top towns sited in the southern west part of Tuscany)we will finally reach the Maremma region .This part of  Toscana is really out of the touristy routes and is perfect for everyone who is searching for something different, something new, something at the end unique. This region is one of the greenest of entire Italy with several national parks and wild nature to explore. For the sporty ones we have the possibility of a trekking (medium difficulty) to reach the medieval castle of Sassoforte. During the tour we will glad to share with you the visit of a jewel like Roccatederighi (one of the most important hill top towns of Tuscany in the Middle Ages). From the top part of the town climbing on a rock (is not a hard climbing) you will have a nice surprise: from here you will see the Mar Tirreno, totally an amazing experience.

A few people know that in this region are also produced a many interesting wines. Less popular than Chianti or Brunello (anyway here we are just 40 miles away from Montalcino) this wine country offers nice red wines like Montecucco or going further south the Morellino di Scansano. These two wines are based on Sangiovese grapes (exactly like the Chianti and the Brunello wines). During the tour it will be possible to stop in a winery to have a tasting of the southern red wines. For everyone who is interested in a unique experience about wines we are in touch with a winery that produces some of the finest red wines of the southern Tuscany and we will glad to arrange a visit for you. We are really open to customize this tour following your needs. If you are more focused on wines we know many wineries to go to.
