Leaving from your accomodation we will drive towards Southern Tuscany.
Along the road you will admire the classic rolling hills,the olive groves and the vineyards sourrounded by small parts of forests.Our first stop will be at a local winery.Less popular than Chianti and of his brother Brunello,Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is every year more appreciated in Italy and in the rest of Europe.Amongst the producers of this noble (nobile) wine certainly Boscarelli represent an excellence because this family is involved in wine making since generations.After a short visit of the wine cellar (with an english guided tour) you will taste the authentic flavour of tuscan life.
Red wine is the tradition here around Montepulciano and the vino Nobile produced at Boscarelli is simply outstanding.Here you will have the possibility to taste different levels of Nobile from the basic one passing through the Riserva and ending with the Riserva single vineyard.
After a relaxing driving surrounded by vineyards and beautiful hills,the second stop will be in the town of Montepulciano.We will visit this jewel of history and renaissance architecture, Piazza Grande (the main square) and all the main monuments (Duomo, Palazzo Pubblico,very similar to Palazzo Vecchio in Florence). Later we will take you to visit a second winery.
Tenuta Santavenere is a new reality in Montepulciano and its purpose is an international style but with a strong connection with the land of origin… Here they will give you another taste of pure Sangiovese (red grapes used for the production of Vino Nobile)but also a real nice Chardonnay
